This opera by Charles Gounod was composed to a libretto by Jules Barbier and Michel Carré, based on Shakespeare’s famous tragedy, and was first performed in Paris in 1867. This production boasts the grand voice and stage presence of the German tenor, Jonas Kaufmann and the Georgian soprano Nino Machaidze, who will alternate with Philippe Do and Diana Mian.
